We respect user privacy and this Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when users visit or use the website. Account creation is completely optional for browsing and reading our publicly available educational content.

SciNarris may collect:

  • Name and Email Address: Provided when a user creates or signs into an account.
  • Google Profile Image: Obtained, where available, when the user chooses Google Sign-In.
  • Authentication & Account Identifiers: Account and authentication identifiers generated through the authentication system to manage user sessions.
  • Learning Progress: Learning activity and progress associated with the user's SciNarris account when progress-tracking functionality is used.
  • Basic Technical & Usage Information: Basic technical and usage information where collected through website infrastructure, security, analytics, or performance services.

You do NOT need to create an account or sign in simply to browse, read, or explore our publicly available educational lessons and resources.

03.Google Sign-In

SciNarris provides optional authentication using Google OAuth. When a user chooses Google Sign-In, SciNarris may receive:

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Profile image URL, where available
  • Authentication/account identifiers required to maintain the authenticated session

SciNarris uses this information only to:

1. Account Authentication
Create and authenticate the user's SciNarris learner account.
2. Learner Identity
Identify the learner within the platform.
3. Session & Progress
Maintain the authenticated session and save learning progress when progress tracking is available.

SciNarris does not request or access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google services through the Google Sign-In integration.

SciNarris does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for third-party advertising, or provide Google user data to data brokers.

04.How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

  • Provide and maintain SciNarris learner accounts.
  • Authenticate users securely.
  • Save and synchronize learning progress where applicable.
  • Improve educational content and platform usability.
  • Respond to user inquiries.
  • Maintain platform security and prevent unauthorized access or misuse.

05.Information Sharing

SciNarris does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the website and authentication system, such as:

  • Web hosting, content delivery, and security infrastructure: Cloudflare Pages and related Cloudflare services used to host, deliver, and protect the SciNarris website.
  • Authentication and backend services: Firebase is used to provide authentication and securely store account-related and learning-progress information.
  • Identity Provider: Google OAuth is used as an optional authentication provider when selected by the user.

06.Data Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Website communications are encrypted using standard Secure Sockets Layer / Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS) protocols.

Please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Account information is retained while the account remains active or as necessary to provide the service.

Users may contact SciNarris regarding their personal information, request correction or deletion where applicable, and stop using the service at any time:

  • Access & Deletion Requests: Contact contact@scinarris.com for account deletion or privacy-related requests.
  • Sign Out: Sign out of your account at any time via your learner profile.
  • Discontinue Use: Stop using the service at any time.

09.Children's Privacy

SciNarris is intended as an educational resource for students and professionals and is not knowingly directed toward children under 13.

If SciNarris becomes aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, it will take appropriate steps to address and delete that information.
